Wound up in Wexford

Folding

I spent an hour or so this morning pulling up bracken on the ditch.

After lunch, I retreated to the sewing room, though there wasn't much sewing involved.  I was folding hexagons to make these stars.  Next job is to appliqué them down onto the fabric squares, and sew a button in the centre to cover the rough ends.  I took this photo partly for my own benefit - this is how the final piece will be sewn together, but each star and its backing will need to be removed to do the sewing, and I need to put them back in the same place!

I raided my huge button stash to find these, and was rather taken with the old packaging - see extra.
