Wound up in Wexford

At the garden centre

We took a trip up to Dublin to drop ArcLight back at the airport.  She only managed to stay for a short visit, but we managed to show her a few of the local attractions, whilst also seeing some of them for the first time ourselves.  Hopefully she, along with Mr A, will be back soon.

We had decided to take the scenic route via Inistioge and Thomastown, but were foiled by a closed road.  Having had to detour up to Graiguenamanagh to get round resurfacing works, it would have been counterproductive to go south again.  Instead, we found a route north from Graiguenamanagh that allowed us to call in to Arboretum at Leichlinbridge.  This is a large garden centre with a lot of online sales that has been turning up on our Internet searches, so we were pleased to see it in person.

First thing for all of us was a trip to the loos.  I thought the hand-wash bowls in the Ladies were naff, but W emerged from the Gents with a photo of the urinals!

After that, I wasn't too surprised that the plants were overpriced, and the food not hugely inspiring.  Oh well.

After dropping my sister at the airport, we went south, parked at Carrickmines Park and Ride, took the Luas into Central Dublin, and went to see Riverdance.  Hugely energetic and talented dancers and musicians.  But very loud.

Home very late.
