Haze and hot weather
will be with us for a few

I was on my way to Mission Flats before 6. It was 20 C and it felt wonderful after our scorching day yesterday.

I drove to the junction in the road to get my panorama of the delta. The roadside vegetation is already drying out and turning brown. The river looks smooth and murky. 

I turned for home but caught a bald eagle poised for hunting on the river. I stopped long enough to take its portrait, then got a shot looking east along the river with the hazy sun telling me there's smoke in the air. 

I was home again with my breakfast in hand by 6:30. It will be another day inside to avoid the oppressive heat of the afternoon. There's always paperwork to keep me occupied.
