Glacier trek

Today I got the bus up to Mattmark dam and then the amazing glacier trek up to Britanniahutte and down by a different route direct to Saas Almagell. It was a stupendous day. The route over the glaciers is marked with poles. The boulderfields between are tougher but well signed with blue and white paint stripes. And as for the ibex - what a fabulous view, and later on I saw a whole herd of them. The reward of hot chocolate and apple strudel at the hut was splendid too.
