Scarce Copper

Bus to the dam again for a mooch around - very interesting and as usual a bit depressing seeing all the history and evidence of ice retreat. Then as I set off on a gentle stroll back down I spotted and actually managed to photograph this beautiful butterfly. The name is misleading - it’s not scarce here in the Alps at all - and likely never existed in England - but if it did then it was scarce!
