Cross Street
I have had NO time for a lovely camera walk today so decided the best thing I could do was to take the Olympus and small lens with me to all the places I needed to go. Infact it became very interesting because I found several streets/alleys in town that I've never seen before, despite living here since the 1980s - doh! This little area is just west of Jewry Street which means it was outside the medieval walls, but although the majority of the buildings are 19th century and a few 18th and 20th, it was clear from the number of narrow alleys going in all directions that the street patterns are very old indeed.
What you see here is a corner of Cross Street (whose existence I knew nothing about). It's not an alley, but a road, though you can see how very narrow it is, to the extent that it appears to take almost no traffic. While I was here I saw nothing but one police car - which filled the roadway.
Many thanks to BobsBlips for hosting the WidWed challenge today, subject 'narrow'..
Okay, that's my excitement for the day. Hope yours has been a good one (and not as hot as it was here). Have a great evening xx
PS: The results of WFW25_14 will be in my journal tomorrow
