Morning Walk & WFW25_14 RESULTS

Yes, unlike yesterday I got a proper walk this morning but because I thought it was going to rain I didn't tramp too far.  The collage is a little selection of what I saw:
- first, one of the many many speckled wood butterflies down by the Nuns Stream 
- then a Common Footman moth (oh dear, what a name, would you want to be called a 'Common footman'?) 
- and lastly what I'm guessing is a carpenter bee much enjoying its thistle.

Apart from this, I've mostly gardened.  My new choisya and cistus bushes were beginning to suffer in their pots, waiting for the ground to get soft enough but, yes, you've guessed it, we still haven't had more than three drops of rain so I had to carry water from the kitchen to the end of the garden and dump it in the ground that way.  Anyway, the job is now done.  Hooray!
