Birthday gift

S sent me a picture of the little dish I got her for her birthday recently.  She was chuffed (while I am keeping quiet where it came from!?).

Day started slowly with a bit of fiddling around trying to get the rolled hem foot to work on my sewing machine.  I have to take up the dress I am wearing next week but it is silk and the hem is fiddly?  I have order a new sewing machine foot from Mr Amazon - will have another go tomorrow.

I was putting off getting ready to go out for lunch at SIL and BIL.  Drive to Hertford and a visit to the garden project where BIL works.  It was hot and I was a bit grumpy but it all worked out ok and we had a nice afternoon.  Later eating that I would have liked but we were home by around 9.30 so OH could watch a bit of the football.
