Day 4 Cycling in Bavarian lakes

We woke to blue skies and fantastic views of mountains from our balcony of our hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Using train tickets from our pack of information, we took a bus to Mittenwald. Our bicycles followed in a separate van which looked choca, but they fitted our bikes in by placing them horizontally on top of all the others! At mittenwald we decided to skip the next bus to Scharnitz as there was an hour to wait. This cut our cycle ride down to about a third, only about fifteen km along the Isar cycle path and along meadows, to our destination Wallgau, arriving in the early afternoon, ahead of our luggage! After a beer at our hotel beer garden, we took a stroll in the village, and surrounding hills, but not too far as it is hot and walking uphill puffs me out!
