Another castle

Quick trip to Margiotta this morning for more eggs then a decision to change the original plan in favour of meeting up with #1 son's school.pal from Inverurie and his kids for a picnic at Craigmillar Castle. 

It was a great day for it and we spent a couple of hours on the grass eating, taking, the kids playing, watching planes (me) and fighting hawks (the men)..

Then we went round the Castle. They had drawing activities for kids so took a while to get past those. The views were great, although there was ominous haar sitting on the Forth. 

We got home and sat in the garden and drank the Normandy cider and the kids had snacks. It was still got and sunny. I did a bit of lying in the lounger and a bit of tidying things in the garden. 

Later the girls helped me empty 2 of the potato bags, WH and Amelia went to the shops and #1 soon went for a run. Later still I made dinner, steak and then rhubarb crumble.
