Summer, day 5?

After my swim and breakfast and no sign of the visitors (were they home?) I repaired to the garden. Though cloudy it was warmer than it's been. Hauled weeds out of the back of borders, smashed back some unruly plants and started the summer pruning. And of course got travel anxiety by proxy. 

But all was well, and at 11, looking like a scruff we sent off for the airport via the Manor. I dropped them at the airport just after noon, hopefully queues won't be too long for 2.05 flight to Berlin. 

Home the cloud was lifting and after lunch got the lounger out and changed into singing more summery. Flights were taking off eastbound so watched the easyJet flight head SE. The time in the sun didn't last, call to say Mum on the floor so down I went to wait the Falls Team. She was fine, not a fall, more a slide to the floor. 

I was back before 4 and sat outside till the cloud returned after 7. Though the app said 19 deg my garden gets really hot on full sun. It was lovely.

Spent the rest of the evening in the front watching more 'The Turkish Detective'.  Summer isn't continuing though, said the weather forecast.
