Friday sunshine

the heatwave continues!! No ladybird invasion today, although there's still a a few around! Was very funny watching the test cricket on TV yesterday from Lords, and the England v India match had to be stopped because of the invasion of ladybirds at the ground!

An early wander today before the heat was too unbearable, so off spotting butterflies again.  Very quiet on the bird front and had hoped to see spoonbills but they must have been hiding, but hundreds of gatekeepers still about and lots of meadow browns too - and just 5 of the marbled whites so had to get another pic before they disappear again for another year!  Also walked through a small stableyard, and the horses were turned out loose and helping to control the weeds!! Earning their keep haha!
