Just Another Day

It was something of a strange day today, insomuch as when I look back at the day I wonder, what did I do?
A bit of thinking and I remember doing a fair bit of cleaning up, and solving a couple of problems with my computer. During the day the rain finally stopped and the sun stated to shine so we actually sat in the sun outside for a cup of tea.
The final activity of the day was clearing ground elder which had grown tall and was now in flower. Jan and I started at opposite ends of a bank and worked towards each other. We did eventually meet in the middle  with most of the offending weed gone. At least four large loads of ground elder, seeding lupins and assorted other weeds got carted off to our pile in the forest. By the time we were done tiredness was definitely setting in, and the midges were starting to appear.
I listened to a gardening program on the radio a few days ago and they said real gardeners didn't see gardening as a job, it was more a way of life. Obviously I'm not a real gardener because for me it's a job. I want to see a result worthy of the work I put in, most often in the form of something edible!
My blip is a thistle growing in a large pot on our deck. It wasn't planted but it's done so well it has been adopted as part of the garden.
So today went to doing chores, Nothing very inspiring or interesting, definitely no adventures. But equally nothing unpleasant either.
Ho hum - just another day...
