Rainy walks and Filo pastry

We've had a fair number of rainy days this summer but today it rained fairly hard ALL DAY!  Jan didn't get a walk yesterday, she was too busy in the garden, so she wanted to get out today. We were also trying out our waterproof gear. My jacket, recently re-proofed by me, did let the rain in but not much and only after about an hour.
Our other activities were indoors. The highlight was baking our first baklava. (extra) It turned out to be rather easy to make and very delicious! The recipes claim it should be left to cool properly and is at its best the next day, but we couldn't wait and ate a few pieces. Tomorrow, just for test tasting purposes, we may have to eat some more!
