Our Day

I got Momma up so she’d have time for a shower and breakfast before we left home. Hubby made her a ham and cheese omelette to go with the fresh fruit. It was pouring rain when we left home; remnants of the tropical storm. Our first stop was at my hair dresser’s. Momma definitely needed a cut and style. My plan had been to get my blip while she was still in the stylist’s chair. My mind was on getting her up the stairs without falling and no photo was taken. It was still raining so the cut got a bit blown away before we got in the car. I think it looks great. Momma ordered checks months ago and never received them. We stopped at her bank to figure out the problem. They were mailed to her original home address and returned to the check company because her mail forwarding time had expired. We went to the post office to get her addresses changed to mine. Her mail has been messed up for months. Next stop was her pharmacy. Our BIL who Momma lived with picked up the prescriptions this morning. We stopped by their home and got the meds and several other items of Momma’s. We got home way passed lunch time. I’d already prepared Momma’s lunch plate so I quickly heated it. My sister had brought two bags of crab claws. Momma had already picked the first bag. She is busy with the second one. Hubby has gone to her house to get the electric recliner we bought her a few years ago. She will probably prefer to sit in that since she is familiar with it. I am doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen and will be glad to just rest. Trying to get Momma settled in and her business matters straightened out wears on me. Glad hubby is helping. He took care of his Mom’s affairs when she moved from TN to VA. Wishing you good advice when you need it. Stay safe.
