REAR ENDED

Went over to see Mum today.  It was grey when we left but the sun soon came out.  We did a few chores for Mum, had soe lunch and lots of chatting before we left to come home.  The traffic wasn't too bad today, quite a few caravans though but still not bad.

Last night Hubby and I went down to Kents Bank station to watch The Blue Peter Steam Engine come through.  I almost didn't go as I haven't felt much like watching them this year with eerything that has happened.

However Hubby's friend sent him details of the train and times and I thought lets give it a go.  I wasn't fully prepared but I got a few reasonable shots (see extras) - I only managed the engine but then that's the important part anyway.  I did set up my mobile phone and got hubby to take a video of it as it went through and that is great so I'm now very pleased I went.  The first time this year.

for those that like to know these things the Blue Peter is a 4-6-2 LNER Peppercorn-designed Class A2 number 60532, built in 1948 as an express passenger loco and is the only A2 still in existence. After an extensive restoration, it ran for the first time in 22 years in March 2024 .

The plant Mr Bumble is on is a Platycodon Grandliflorus (Astra White) apparently!!!

Well that's all from me for today do take great care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
