Fáilte
I did my first Parkrun in Ireland this morning, at Brickfields Park in the western suburbs of Dublin.
As I had hoped, it was an easy 10 minute jaunt on the bus to get there and back from where I was staying (The Liberties). I enjoyed it, and of course being Ireland the volunteers and other runners were super friendly.
The first Extra is where I stayed overnight - a student residence. It was excellent. I would do it again. I reckon the last time I stayed in student accommodation (officially, at least) was September 1973 at the Cité Universtaire in Paris.
The second Extra just marks the time I drank coffee from a whiskey mug - the Teeling Distillery is across the street from the residence.
It was a flying visit (literally) and Aer Lingus whisked me homewards this evening.
I am tired.
