A New face in the Garden

The Rudbeckia are busting onto the garden stage right now adding another dimension to the yellow/orange color palette.  This variety often produces tiny secondary petals around the center which I like.  Their wild cousins, Black Eyed Susan's are popping up along the country roads as well. Today is the 249 anniversary of the founding of America but will the America we have known and loved be here in the years to come?  It all depends on what "We the People", do in the coming months. The fight for freedom from tyranny is not over. A new generation of Patriots must continue the fight.  As JFK said in his inauguration in 1961, "Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans.”   Will we meet the challenge?
