Small Skipper
These tiny butterflies just don’t stay still very long so I had a challenging time in the heat trying to photograph them today. The lavender was attracting so many bees and several other butterfly species so it was a bit of a circus but so good to see teeming insect life! Apparently more than 3500 species of skippers are recognised, and they occur worldwide according to Wikipedia.
5°C cooler today in general so I actually managed to get some gardening done this morning before it got hot again this afternoon. I’ve managed to keep the Yoga room quite cool by keeping it completely closed since early morning. Tomorrow will be the last classes before two months summer break.
