A Pale Imitation Of A Sun Worshipper

As I may have mentioned previously in my blip journal I am of Scottish extraction which means that as well having the very pale skin to back up this lineage I also have a pretty low tolerance of hot temperatures.
If anything today was forecast to be even hotter than yesterday so I was out very early for a run with my brother and managed to fit in some much needed gardening to at least make a dent in taming the horticultural disaster that is our back garden all before 9 a.m.
The temperature jus kept on climbing from this point onwards and whilst we managed to get out for a pub lunch at The George in Trottiscliffe I really did feel like I was starting to dissolve into a pool of my own sweat.
As soon as we got back it was just a case of trying to shelter from the baking sun until a light breeze mercifully started to make its presence felt later in the afternoon and I was able to set my legs free in a pair of shorts - thankfully our garden is not overlooked so my neighbours are not afflicted by setting sight upon my pale Celtic skin unencumbered by longer legged apparel and therefore witness a poor imitation of a sun worshipper!
My shot was intended to be a look up towards the azure blue sky with a hint of the moon which had appeared just as a flock of passing birds were beautifully under-lit by the sun but I had my camera on the wrong setting, the moon was too far away, the birds were too quick and I had to hold a striped umbrella to shield my eyes with one hand whilst I attempted to click the shutter with my other hand - needless to say I only succeeded in capturing an image of part of the umbrella but oddly I actually quite like the abstract looking outcome! :-)
