Ladies and Emperors

Today we were ladies that lunch, that's me and my sister. D had kindly asked if I would like to join her today at the Saatchi Gallery in London where there was an RHS Botanical Art and Photography show. Naturally I jumped at the chance, despite the extreme heat.

We spent a lovely morning at the exhibition and then lunched outside before moving on to spend an afternoon at Battersea park. There were many dragonflies (such as this emperor), damselflies and birds. This included a cheeky heron who flew down for the bread being thrown for the usual bunch of birds, then flew across the lake to have a fight for territory with another heron He lost and flew off.

I have so many pictures from the day. If you have a spare moment, please take a look on Heather Kennedy - Battersea Park 2025.

Interestingly, in the 33 degrees heat, I clocked up over 25,000 steps (worth 10 miles of walking).

My feet ache.
