Old Tricks - Not Forgotten

Doctors first thing for a dressing change on my shin, I’m not sure why but I often come away from the practise more concerned than I went in. The nurse needs to see me again in a weeks time, I have a replacement dressing to put on at the mid point and a swab has gone away to check for infection.
I returned home, loaded my welding set, mask and rods into Mrs S’s T4 and set off for Richard’s, with limited time it was just one and a half coffees before a forty minute tuition period on how to ‘stick’ weld 0.8mm steel on a car. I left him practising and headed back home.

Time for a quick check on Paddy, a glass of water and off to the Health Centre with friend Lucy, a couple of pages of my book and it was back home.
Sam has her end of season dinner tomorrow night, so excited, the club colours are black & white, Mrs S has made her a shirt, it looks stunning.
Sam arrived at the lounge door tonight with a; “ Dad can you do something with my shoes?”

After a career in the military there’s somethings that you never forget.
