Charge!

Lessons in the art of mediaeval battle between rain showers at Old Sarum.

The plan involved us also visiting Stonehenge. We (not the royal we in the this instance, I was all for heading back into Salisbury and finding a coffee shop) weren't put off by the rainstorms. We even managed the long snarl of traffic to within sight of Stonehenge and then "we" decided it was too busy after all so did a quick u-turn at the first available junction and had a pleasant meander through the villages along the Avon back to Salisbury and then Winchester. We were, of course, distracted by a garden centre (plants were bought, they may become emergency blips) and a Waitrose (well you never know if you'll be able to find that oil pourer again, apparently).

And then home for a catch up of the athletics and dinner.
