An 8 AM blip

For a change.

To say I'm not an early bird is the understatement of the century so if I don't have to get up early, I don't. Car service and MOT required convoy driving to the garage and a lift back into town. It was such a glorious morning that I chose a gorgeous walk before breakfast.

I thought it'd set me up nicely for a productive day but I ended up dozing drinking coffee later.

Note to self: if you accidentally leave the gas on after making porridge then the grate WILL burn your fingers if you decide to clean it straight after switching it off. Cue spending the next hour and a half comically trying to send emails one handed and then reading with one hand in cold water.

Is there a shakes head smiley? In 7 years of doing labs I had one minor scald. One!* In one month of pretending to be domesticated I've burned myself twice. Definitely need to get cracking on finding another job, domestic goddess I am not.

I should probably try and get more sleep to but s I'm tapping this out single thumbed on my phone a 01;45 you can work out how successfully that's going!

* and yes if you knew me at the time I'm studiously ignoring 2 near misses at Uni. The first was definitely not my fault and the second. Well I just wanted to have my head slammed against the newfangled eye baths they'd had installed. Obviously. Never did get to try out the "shower". ;-)
