Tightly wrapped

In early morning,  
the flower bud unfolds, time
to show its flower
off

By lunchtime the flower
has fully bloomed, with others
by night all gone

At first a bush full 
a few weeks later all gone
'til next spring arrives

The story of rock roses, or cistus


A quiet but busy day working from home.  Already very hot...

Tomorrow I've an early morning tip run booked so I'm gather things together tonight...wishing it wasn't so hot but needs must!

Afterwards I will go food shopping, dread what time I'll get there and how busy and hot it will be though.
