Pale Poppy

one of only 2 I've seen in my tub of wild flowers.

Up really early.  After breakfast I loaded the car and headed into Reading, to the tip via B&Q.  Looked at various parasoles, but their bases were so heavy I wouldn't be able to carry them.  Ideally I want a mini gazebo - but they don't make them high enough to cover my back door...  Bought a new table lamp in the sale, 

After the tip, where as usual the staff were all so helpful, I went shopping at Morrisons - more expensive, but much nicer than Sainsburys.  They also have clothes there and I bought a new top.

Home and put the shopping away. 

This afternoon I've just been reading, resting and repeat.  Far too hot already for anything else - is 27 degrees C at the moment, when the sun is out it seems much hotter.

This evening I plan to do a few things when its a bit cooler...

Does anyone know what these 'brown beetles (far too fast to photograph - but long and thin might be).  Anything I move in the garden has them underneath this summer, not seen them before.
