Crossing to Lihou

We took the bus round to Lihou, arriving there in grey and damp weather for the tidal causeway crossing to be exposed. We knew we were early and had planned a headland walk but instead walked along the beach for a mile to the Guernsey sweater factory shop where I decided not to spend £150 on a heavy stripy scratchy sweater .

By the time we got back to the causeway it was exposed- what a difference 90 minutes made
The sky was now blue, the sun shining and we had a lovely picnic on the island surrounded by gulls. After walking all round the island we caught the bus again and continued the clockwise route so we’ve now been all the way round!
