To The Dentist's

Is it just me that never seems to discover that the milk is off until it is forming lumps or strings on the top of a previously perfectly drinkable cup of coffee? Of course if it looks like yogurt in the carton I can tell, but I even sniffed it and it smelt fine! So off I went to the Co-op. And of course I had a coffee from their machine to save having to make another from mine at home!

Our biannual dentist/hygienist appointment has rolled around again. Brian collected me at 1.30 pm to be there in time for our 2 o'clock appointment. Sometimes it's all done double quick but today seemed to take ages and be extra unpleasant. The dentist wanted to do X-Rays which involved shoving something the size of a credit card into the sides of my mouth - one then the other. This didn't take long but it felt a lot longer while I was fighting my gag reflex! I felt quite nauseous after too. Anyhow, once again there are no issues, so I'm very glad about that!

Then it was the Hygienist's turn. They are short staffed and she was working without an assistant to hold the mini hoover that removes the water from the ultrasonic scaler, so it was like I was having a shower at the same time.  She also wore strong-tasting rubber gloves, which did nothing to help the nausea. I was very glad when it was all finished.

Brian needs a few minor fillings, but I can avoid the place for the next six months...

On the way back I got Bri to stop briefly for me to get a quick shot of this Post Box topper! I'd taken a photo of a lily in the dentist waiting room too, but I will go with this one!

I've actually had quite a lazy day today - mainly due to how windy it is. I love hearing the wind outside, but absolutely hate being out in it! In the past it has been a main cause of migraine for me. (Touch wood, I've not had a migraine since before I went onto the blood thinners and statins. Maybe one or both of them is preventing it..) It has felt like a treat just to do online things, writing and reading for a change but I can't make a habit of it. A good long walk is in order tomorrow!
