Boustany

Apparently Boustany is Arabic for ‘My Garden’ and also the title of the new cookbook by Sami Tamimi (a friend and business associate of Yotam Ottolenghi). I really enjoyed the Topping event that my friend Anne booked for us tonight. It was really interesting to find out more about Palestinian food and culture and to top it all, we got to taste two delicious salads. It’s inspired me to be more adventurous with my ingredients!
I also met my ex colleagues from Edinburgh College for lunch at The Paper Mill in Lasswade and then had time for a look round Dobbies and John Lewis before meeting up with Anne.
