Anyone for Beach Tennis

A scorcher today. In the morning, we showed son no 2 the delights of Alnwick (including Barter Books). We used to have holidays in Northumberland when the boys were young so it brought back childhood memories. We contemplated going round Alnwick Gardens in the afternoon, but it was too hot, busy and we couldn’t take Poppy, so we opted for another beach afternoon instead. Mr P and son no 2 played palas (Spanish beach tennis). Remarkably Poppy didn’t go for the ball and seemed to enjoy watching them. They also had a decent swim. I was very tempted but I’ve been nursing a summer cold (possibly hayfever). However I’ve decided that I’m definitely going in tomorrow.
We’re watching Scotland play in the Euros now. Never an easy watch.
