Doing Counting!
Church this morning had too much of my voice, intercessions first and then a long update to the congregation at the end about what we are doing over the next couple of months.
We went home for a couple of hours after church and Ali, Stuart and the girls came over which was nice. I made some banana bread but it wasn't ready in time.
My blip is part of my baking calculations. I wanted to make one and a half times the recipe and then divide the mix into ⅓ and ⅔ without including the weight of the bowl. I do complicate things at times, I'm sure approximation would have done.
Yesterday I advertised a wardrobe on Gumtree, it was left in the Rectory and the new incumbent doesnt want it. I advertised first on our local fb group for someone to come and take it away for me, which would have cost us money. Someone there suggested putting it for free in Gumtree saying that it needed dismantled. I did that and so this evening it was being picked up. Its new owner was delighted and is going to make a donation to the church. So win - win really so far as I'm concerned, and the wardrobe has gone.
Flumgummery was right yesterday about my mystery object. It's a ravioli cutter. I'm unlikely to make Ravioli but thought I'd see if it worked to cut square scones, for fun. We'll see .
