The Garden

Quiet day today in more ways than one. Had a bit of a lie in and made oatmeal for everyone before we headed out to the Friends Meeting House, LV’s local Quaker meeting. This was a very quiet experience and also a new way to express worship. Honestly I found it very helpful with emphasis on quiet meditation and any ministry being “encouraged” as people felt moved. In many ways it was preferable to the constant stimulation of traditional church services and I think I really benefited from the time of contemplation plus the three people who stood to share their thoughts.

The rest of the day was spent reading and chatting and having an excellent pork dinner provided by our host accompanied by Portuguese wine.
