Up North

Walked over to the supermarket nearby LV’s house and picked up a paper and I think I thought I was still in France as I also ended up with a fresh baguette for breakfast. Once everyone was ready and that wasn’t short time, it seems every extra person involved in going out exponentially increases the time taken to depart.

However when we had picked up Bex in Morpeth - even further north we were looking forward to a sunny day at the beach - but as we arrived the spots of rain started. Then apparently according to our chauffeur it took the three back seat occupants 7 mins and 42 seconds to exit the car! More exponential time warping.

So instead we headed to Morwicks Ice cream emporium and had some delicious ice cream. Unfortunately that curtailed the consumption of dinner at Lollo Rosso but we had a great time chatting and laughing over dinner. Oh and the photo is our lunch near the beach when it was spotting with rain and feeling distinctly cool! It was good to catch up with Bex and in some ways the cooler weather was very welcome.

Oh and we did actually enjoy a cocktail at some place called Pleased to Meet you
