Sophie, Bears & Ducks
We had an email from Our Park Run organiser to say they were short of volunteers this week so, Tess, Chris & I offered to marshal. With Chris’s hamstring still playing up and the hot weather, we were glad we did. Despite the temperatures, it was another good turn out, though times were a bit slower!
This afternoon Tess & I went down to Bridgwater as Joel had a stall at the local charities’ fair, selling items he makes on a 3D printer to raise money for the local centre he volunteers at. It has a cafe, craft workshop and drop in help desk for people with additional needs and / or mental health issues.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t particularly well attended ( again, the heat didn’t help) but we had a wander around and spent a bit of money at the various stalls. The photo shows Sophie having a go at the Hook A Duck stall. I liked her concentration and all the colourful animals on show!
Sophie came back with us for a sleepover as Joel was having a post-fair evening out with his fellow volunteers and Kate was going to a surprise birthday party for one of her colleagues.
We enjoyed a fish and chip suffer and the film Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs on Netflix.
