Black(And Blue)Berry Blossom
Sophie gave us a bit of a lie in this morning - she didn’t wake up until 8; you can tell her teenage years aren’t far off!
After breakfast we went to the outdoor pool. Chris was already there and Kate joined us a bit later so it was very much a family swim.
We had a late-ish brunch before Kate and Sophie went home.
On our walk with Chris this afternoon I managed to trip over and conduct some research on the elasticity of pavements, or otherwise; my left hip, knee and elbow can confirm that pavements are hard and don’t give much.
Fortunately apart from a few grazes, bruises and a dent in my dignity, I got off lightly though various joints and muscles were stiffening up quickly by early evening.
I obviously need to look where I’m putting my feet. Earlier on the walk I managed to notice that the wild blackberries are in bloom and stay upright.
