Birthday Celebrations Begin

Breakfast table set up outside by Jeanette who woke up a lot earlier than either us or Kevin. But she couldn’t have her cup of tea because she couldn’t find any milk. So she had some of David’s black coffee when he got up.

It was very hot by the time we left to go visit Bex in Morpeth. 81F /27C. Thunder storms are predicted for this afternoon.

It is very hot in Kevin’s car as his A/C is not working. It’s an hour’s drive to Morpeth. I used Peppermint oil to cool me down and Eucalyptus to help me breathe!

Then it rained and it cooled down a lot, so the umbrella I took to use as a sun shade, became a proper umbrella!

This photo was taken at a Cocktail Bar called “Pleased to Meet You” where we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink.
Mine- “Rhubarb Paper Crane” cocktail - Woodford Reserve bourbon, Aperol, Rhubarb liqueur, lemon juice, rhubarb bitters, with a red paper crane as decoration.
Then we on to have dinner at “Lollo Rosso”
Now I’m very full and we have an hour’s drive through the beautiful Northumberland countryside.
