Mum’s Twin Sister

Up early to pack up the van and say goodbye to our favorite city.

We needed to pick up my sister Jeanette by 9:30am, as we had a long drive ahead to end up at Kevin’s in Darlington before dinner. We had time for a quick chat with Alan & Maureen, Jeanette’s in-laws, who she has been visiting.

On the way, we paused for about an hour at my mum’s twin sister, Auntie Helen’s, mostly picking her brains about events in the past that we missed asking Mum about. Also a bit of catching up on family news.

We are now trundling along up to Darlington to spend a few days with Kevin. As it’s Friday (the traditional day to have Fish and Chips), he has ordered some Fish and Chips to pick up for us from Yarm Road Fish and Chips - the winner of the National Fish & Chip Awards 2025!
