Fund raising

Much of my day was taken up with the CoDA* charity fund raising event at Sahara restaurant.  We had an auction of valuable donated items, a raffle with half a dozen prizes and a table top bric a brac sale of all kinds of stuff. I was in charge of this last money maker and by the close of the event, around 4pm, I had taken a healthy amount of Turkish lira entirely from selling the sort of stuff that proves someone's trash is another person's treasure. It is through this charity that I found and rescued my wonderful woofer Rufus just over two years ago.

Very hot weather, so very soon after getting home I was in the pool cooling off  followed by a much need quiet and easy evening home alone.

Meanwhile in other news, the workmen were here before 9am and spent the day, continuing the tiling of the roof terrace, ground floor patio and today, the floor of the storage room was completed. All looking good
