Seriously?

Sunday

Woke up unable to shake off the tiredness, probably due to yesterday's long hours fund raising activities in the heat, followed by a very poor night's rest, so after walking the woofer at 8am, I spent much of the day indoors with fans and A/C on full, reading Georgette Heyer for light entertainment. I haven't read one of her books for half a century and had forgotten how delightful they are.

By 6pm I was ready to visit my neighbour Lucy who was hosting a couple of hours of playing cards with two of her friends who I only know slightly and it made a very pleasant change to both play whist and spend a little time with people I don't know very well.

By the time Rufus and I were home at 9pm, a very boisterous breeze had sprung up and so after a brief 'round the 'block' with the woofer (today's photo), for the next couple of hours or so I made the most of it by sitting on my craft room balcony with Rufus, Mama Katz, a beer and a plate of melon, enjoying not being hot while continuing with the adventure of the Duke of Avon et al.
