River Greta, Fitz Park Keswick
It might have been a hearing gull on the Promenade at Maryport or a view across the Solway or even Skiddaw from Fitz Park that made the cut today.
This was the last photo of the day and the light on the river caught my eye as we were walking back to the car from the Fox Tap and his evening having enjoyed a couple of hours there with friends Jane and Adam.
The Fox Tap was the last port of call in a day of viewing property in Boughton Moor, Lamplugh and Tallentire with a break at Maryport.
Looking for property is rather like the Goldilocks effect. Not too hot, not too cold, we’re looking for something just right. None of the properties today came near to being “just right” although we liked many aspects of the properties, their location and situation were not right.
We liked Maryport. The sun and clear skies helped. The views across the Solway to Scotland were superb today. The tide was right out exposing a fascinating foreshore. Maryport has gone overboard in information about the town and its history which makes for an Interesting visit and a place to return too.
And so we repaired to the Fox Tap to enjoy the evening sun
