Musing of a Lady

Coots

It's been another extremely busy day for Little Man and myself. Little Man had nursery this morning, and whilst he was there, I had my good friend  Marianne, round for a chat. We talked about a few things that I'm currently working through. It was lovely.

I collected Little Man from nursery and then came home. We watched the family of coots next to the house. A friend from church, Elize, came round with her electric lawnmower. The hand push lawnmower I'd borrowed last month hadn't done much to improve the state of the garden. Thanks to Elize's help, the garden is looking a lot better (see the extra photo). Little Man really enjoyed watching the electric lawnmower.

We had a quiet rest of the afternoon, well, as quiet as a cranky little boy would let me. He was tired, but had refused to go down for a sleep this afternoon. I had a telephone call in regards to the next step for Little Man's education and had to phone the government's youth department in Reeuwijk to get the paediatrician's telephone number. However, the receptionist said that I had to email the main office and ask them. It wasn't easy to do whilst Little Man was being a bit stroppy.

Little Man was in bed by 6 pm and asleep within thirty minutes. I'm going to put him down for a sleep again tomorrow, as soon as we've had a bite to eat after nursery. I think the heat has made him a bit more irritable and tired, which is understandable.
