Waterfall

TT dropped BB off at work, then had some work to do, even though he was on annual leave. Meanwhile I did a few chores, packed a bag for the weekend, then ran down to the Post Office.

We set off about lunchtime, and had a somewhat slow start to our journey. Once we got over the Bridge our journey north became a bit easier.  Our destination was Aberfeldy. We parked up and went in search of a late lunch. We had really nice sandwiches at the Watermill, sitting outside in the sunshine.the downside was wasps. We then each bought a book, before going for a walk.

We walked the Birks of Aberfeldy, which neither of us had done before. It was a lovely afternoon for it. You basically walk up a gorge, and are quite high up at times, which did nothing for my vertigo!

There wasn’t too much water in the burn, but enough to encounter a few waterfalls.  We then continued on our journey along Loch Tay to Killin and on to our destination where we met up with friends, just in time for a drink and dinner.  Later there was a quiz, which amazingly my group won.

This is a tributary waterfall, with the upper waterfall in the extra. The second extra was taken after 11pm, looking across Loch Tay.
