Canal Boat

A day off for TT and me today. BB Hadd to be out if his student flat by 10am tomorrow, so today was the day. We headed through to Glasgow. He was out viewing a flat when we got there, so we went for a walk along the canal, walking to Speirs Wharf and then back again. BB walked to meet us once he got back.

He was the last to move out, so was left with the responsibility to clean out the fridge, clean the oven, a bit of defrosting, and general cleaning up. To be honest it wasn’t as bad as I feared it might have been. We blitzed it in a couple of hours, and that included packing up some of BB’s stuff. We packed the car, he handed his keys back, had a chat with one of his friends, and headed off. TT took a wrong turning, which allowed us to stop and pick up some lunch, before we headed home.

Once home we had the grand unload, and I immediately threw a load of stuff in the washing machine. I then tidied done if it up, and got organised, as an old friend was visiting.

BB went off to a rugby meeting, and we ordered an Indian takeaway. After our friend left, I popped out for a quick walk in the almost dark, and was pleased to spot a wee badger. I imagine there may have been others, but they didn’t make themselves visible. The rain came on so I got damp.

We saw this canal boat on our canal walk.
