It is a warm sunny day and an improvement on yesterday, which was cold and breezy most of the afternoon. It is 22.3c in the living room. 84f in the conservatory, where Paul is doing puzzles and the second Gardenia flower should soon be opening. The tomato plants are doing well in there too.

My bead bracelet was delivered in the post from Etsy. It is on the theme of Immunity and comes with a card explaining the healing value of each bead. I love handmade jewellery and will write them an appreciative review.

I am not one to sit in the sun for any length of time, so I am listening to Viane on Audible in the cool of the living room while crocheting some coasters for the Church stall. Viane is the follow on book to Chocolat by Joanne Harris.

Later, Paul and me will watch Escape to the Country, in Norfolk.

This evening at 9pm, BBC 4 have Jane Austen, The Unseen Portrait and then later the serialisation of the film Emma.

Maria studied Jane Austen when she did her degree at York in Linguistics and Literature, so we grew a love and appreciation for all her books. We have visited Chawton with Paul and his parents, where Jane lived. It is such a delightful village.
