Painted Lady

... and doesn't she live up to her name?

Spotted on Magdalen Hill Down reserve near Winchester. Managed by the Butterfly Conservation it is nationally recognised for the many butterfly species it supports – with more than 10,000 seen every year.  Today I saw mainly marbled whites and meadow browns, but good to see never the less.
