Cherry Thieves
Eric and Ern were determined to have some fresh fruit in their shop, but as always had run out of money. However, they had heard of a plentiful supply in deepest Surrey, so jumped into their old van to check it out. They spotted a large shiny red fruit ... but how to transport it? There was no-one around, so they decided to just dig in and extract a few lumps. Remind me not to visit their shop for fresh goods!
My late father was keen on OO-scale model railways, and for years had a setup in the 2nd bedroom, until my sister and I decided we really wanted our own bedrooms (or maybe my parents were fed up with the bickering!), so he decamped to the loft. Eventually model engineering and making bits for mum's doll's house collection took over, but when clearing the house a few years after he died and mum moved we found remnants of the setup. I still have a dozen or so engines, rolling stock and buildings which I meant to sell on. The hand-built van and little people came from there, and are now part of my own doll's house collection.
