Amphibians, Birds & Insects

Two sorties out today hunting around wetlands.
This morning a short walk around Thacka Nature reserve killing some time while Jess was at Yoga and then we went swimming.
I was taken by the Swallows and House Martins wheeling around and taking insects from the pond.. I tried to get a shot of one clipping the pond but no luck this time.
This evening a quick trip to a pond off the River Eamont with my macro lens, on the way to the pond I was met by 1000s of toadlets on the move, absolutely tiny battling through their grass jungle, it was quite difficult not to tread on any. At the pond I found what I thought was a black butterfly, except I discover it is a day flying moth "Chimney Sweeper".. A few Azure Damselflies also floating around.
Hopefully back in the hills tomorrow, I'm missing the landscapes..
