Thistle

Yesterday I was at a photography club (PDCC) street workshop in Keswick. Very informative and good fun.. No images worthy of posting unfortunately but photography goes that way sometimes, more practice needed...
Not much time today but after a morning doing DIY I needed to get out. Wellies on and down to a surface water drainage pond on the estate hoping for some fauna.. Nothing much was doing, it was windy with showers.
While wandering around I noticed this orange flower, a thistle of some sort I think.. I liked the orange/purple complimentary colours and manoeuvred to get the buttercups in the background. 
About the best I could do today.
