Sunday: Samobor Castle

I was absolutely determined not to blip an abadoned building today, but somehow things turned out differently........

We started the day by going to have a look at the 'Domestic Landscapes' exhibition by Bert Teunissen - it was nice to be able to enjoy it in a more leisurely way.

It was such a beautiful day today - the air quality was just amazing and made you want to breathe deep.  So we decided to take a drive out to Samobor to walk up to the castle.  It was about a 2km walk out of town, mostly uphill.  At the top, we stumbled across the ruins of the castle.  It was built in the 13th century and the last occupants left in the 18th century.

The walk to and from the castle was great too - lots of blackberries and a fresh spring.

Other than that, K. has cut my hair.  I should emphasise that she is no hairdresser and has only learnt what she knows on the basis of a Youtube video.  But, given that my haircuts by hairdressers here alternated between a no 1 buzz cut and a Joan of Arc simulation, we figure she can do no worse........
