Brockholes

Back in 2009 we could see from the M6, work being done on a former quarry to create this wetland nature reserve. In addition to that I followed 2 blippers, annekingston and wildinlailand who volunteered in its formation and blipped things like the bank of nests for sand martins (See Extra).

Today we were giving Kat a lift to Lancashire and made a visit to the reserve as part of our day out. This was the first time we had been. The visitor's centre is created on a floating platform.

It's taken me a long time to post this blip as I wanted to link it to my flying creatures entry on Facebook. I couldn't put anything on there as it would be seen by a  client whose photos I hadn't edited. All is well now.
